Those who know me or are familiar to this blog know how much I love cabins. I already wrote about them here some time ago. Natasza and I are coming back from a short trip in Latvia. Riga, the main city has a lot to offert in terms of architecture. You can meet art deco buidings next to old traditional wooden houses.
Beeing cabin lovers we decided to visit the Ethnographic Open-Air Museum of Latvia near Riga. Basically it consists of taking a stroll in the woods and beeing amazed by old cabins from different times and different places of Latvia.
It’s not real wilderness, it’s a museum, but I really wanted to share this pictures here since these cabins are totally related to the outdoors. But I stop here my explanations.
Enjoy.

What a magic place! Thank you for the recommendation!
I’m also a cabin lover (especially of those which are accompagnied by a mountain or two).
Born in pancake-flat Denmark, they’ve been quite rare for me…. but the dream is to get my own sometime!
Best

Thank you for your kind comment! Sweden is close to Denmark, there you’ll find plenty of nice log cabins in the woods!
Cheers!

That’s aboslutely true. I decided to go a bit more south for it and moving to North Italy soon! So many beautiful cabins in the Italian mountains I can tell you!
